Substack: How It's Going

Now that we're 10 days in, here's a recap of where we are on Substack
1

I wanted to take a moment to share how things are going with my venture into Substack. I initially gave it a try last year but quickly abandoned it because it didn’t have the features I needed at the time. However, with the introduction of live streaming, I decided to dive back in and explore what this platform has to offer.

Over the past few weeks, I've been experimenting with different types of content. I've been posting some live streams and engaging notes, which have been a mix of well-thought-out and spontaneous content. My main goal is to leverage my expertise in livestream marketing and connect with all of you by sharing tips, trends, and engaging discussions.

A significant point I’ve noticed is the blending of personal values with professional content. It’s become essential for me to stand on my values and ensure that the generations behind me, including my daughters, see what’s possible when you speak up about issues that matter. While I continue to focus on video marketing, I’m also keen on sharing insights that reflect my values and beliefs.

Regarding my current statistics, I’ve gained 33 new subscribers in the past few weeks, and my open rate is looking pretty good at around 55.69%. I’m also using new tools like the Chrome extension 'Schedule a Note', which allows me to plan my content better.

Looking forward, I’m excited about potentially using Substack as a space for my video hub. I'm considering creatively repurposing my content and integrating it more smoothly across different platforms. I am also contemplating making Substack a 'green room' for post-livestream discussions or even regular Q&As.

Ultimately, this is a ninety-day experiment. It offers room for growth and exploration, but it will depend on whether this space proves mutually beneficial for me and my audience. For now, I’m all about experimenting with new strategies, fostering engagement, and continuing to build a community where I can authentically express myself. Thanks for being part of this journey with me, and let’s see where it leads!
