Alrighty, folks, we're getting it together. Okay. All right. We should be good now. You should be good on sound and on visual. So this is what I'm doing. I'm giving a three month update. And I just wanted to share where I am right now with Substack and to kind of give

you for those of you who have followed along. I've been periodically giving an update and a status right on my thoughts about being in the space. And so as a person who is really a I'm going to say I'm a coach first and a live streamer second and a content marketing strategist that really is kind of the

umbrella for all of it. One of the things that I am going to do is to share my thoughts from the lens of being a business owner and entrepreneur who is looking to not just do this as a hobby. I've been doing this for a minute now, like for several years.

My Honest 3-Month Substack Review: Engagement, Revenue, and What’s Next

A livestream about my adventure into Substack and how I feel about it after 90 days.

Thank you

THIS one’s for my fellow creators who worry about “putting all your eggs in one basket.” Let’s talk about being platform independent—and why I’m building my business so I’m never at the mercy of someone else’s algorithm (or, yikes, tech issues).

Here’s the simple answer: I use Substack for video + community, but I keep the core of my business—my email list, courses, and paid programs—in my own hands.

But here’s the longer answer:

I’ve seen what happens when whole social platforms disappear, or support vanishes overnight. (Yes, that happened to me—posts lost, support crickets.) I want the freedom to move fast and serve clients, no matter where next trend takes us next, and that means slow, steady, and intentional growth across multiple channels, not chasing vanity metrics.

I no longer want to RENT on borrowed social land. We OWN our content. We nurture our own lists and platforms. We use places like Substack to connect, but never let it be the only way people find or buy from us.

Did this resonate? What’s one way YOU’re diversifying how clients find you?

Let me know.

And by the way — thank you for taking time to connect and hear me out. That’s what I do love about this space.

So curious. If substack isn’t your email list then what do you do or use?
